Townsend Artisan Guild brings working professional fine artists and fine craftsmen together in Blount, Sevier, Knox, Sullivan and more Counties of East Tennessee. Operating from the gateway community of Townsend, Tennessee, just outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Townsend Artisan Guild (TAG) promotes the education, exploration, awareness and development of the Arts by promoting individual, group and community interest in the education and appreciation of the arts.
Founded in 2007, TAG sponsors and participates in art shows, fine art exhibitions, festivals, and offers art education and fine crafts classes and workshops. The Guild provides members with a creative environment to share ideas, inspiration and self-promotion as well as offer a forum to encourage mutual support, promotion of the arts and fine art and fine crafts education and sales to the public.
Membership is open to working professional artists, associate members with affiliations to active members or with connections to the arts, aspiring artists who are fine art students or hope to become working professional artists, and supporting members wishing to actively assist in the promotion of the arts.
